Image of Loretta Lynn’s Guitar
About the art: On one of my many trips, we drove to Nashville. And, from Nashville, we drove to Memphis. Now we are notorious for seeing a sign or billboard saying “stop here” or something to that nature and if it piques our curiosity, you can bet we will make a detour and stop. On the way to Memphis, we saw a Billboard calling us to Hurricane Mills. TN and there we would see Loretta’s Homestead and Dude Ranch. I love Miss Loretta and I know the lines the Coal Miner’s Daughter almost like the back of my hand. So it was pure pleasure to visit this little community they created.
